My new little corner of the web
Somewhere to send new friends when they say, “wait, you were one of the owners of Well Crafted?" or "someone told me you are a photographer?"
A few months ago, I found myself meeting new people and realizing I no longer had a place to point them when they said, “wait, someone told me you are a photographer?” (As a creative at heart with no where to share my craft that I love so much... that hit.)
For nearly twenty years, Ryan and I had always had a little home on the internet.
It started with our photography business, sharing our life, weddings and documented life stories. Amazing Life Together took us across all 50 states documenting love stories. Then came Well Crafted Pizza and connecting with our pizza pals. There were blogs, newsletters, websites, Instagram, and all the little corners of the internet where we shared what we were creating and the communities we loved.
But over time, those places slowly disappeared.
Our old Liz and Ryan website came down. Our Instagram account was hacked. Links broke. Projects came to an end.
One day I realized there wasn’t really anywhere that told the story anymore... chapters that shaped who I am, how I lead, what I value, and why I care so deeply about community.
So, with a little encouragement from Ryan (and his AI enthusiasm), I decided to build something for me.
Not a business website or a resume. Just one little corner of the internet that felt like home.
A place where I could celebrate the journey, connect with our community, and have somewhere to send new friends when they say, “wait, you were one of the owners of Well Crafted?”
It’s imperfect. There are a thousand more photos and stories I wish I could have included, and maybe someday I will. In fact, I even included this Substack to share stories, reflections, and whatever comes to heart. No guarantees for how often I will write, just a place to play and connect for now. It’s a start and I’m really excited to share it with you!
If you’ve been following along through any of my seasons - photography, pizza, Amazing Life Together, Hopkins, parenthood or somewhere in between - thank you. You have shaped this story more than you know!
